Miss Sam
Director & Owner

Sam Pulvirenti has been dancing since the age of 6, taking her earliest steps with Pulsate Dance Force as a junior student. After training in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Lyrical and Contemporary, Sam moved to Adelaide to pursue her dance career, becoming part of the faculty at The Australian Company of Performing Arts, and a member of The Talent Agency. After beginning her family, Sam moved back to Wangaratta where her dance training had begun. Fully accredited through the AUSTRALIAN TEACHERS OF DANCE (ATOD), ACROBATIC ARTS & DANCE CIRQUE. Sam took over the ownership of the studio in 2016 and has now built the dance family she always dreamt of. Sam has a passion for sharing her wealth of knowledge of the performing arts and in doing so is an adjudicator for Follow Your Dreams Dance Competitions Australia wide.

Miss Katrina
Manager & Hip Hop Coach

Katrina Pulvirenti grew up dancing in Wangaratta and competing until the age of 18. She trained full time for two years at The Space Dance and Arts Centre. Katrina is Acrobatic Arts & Dance Cirque Certified. Katrina’s most studied and perfected styles to teach and dance is Hip Hop and Urban. Her dancing and teaching have taken her to the U.S., Singapore, NZ, Norway, and all across Australia. As her main goal when teaching, Katrina is focused on educating students in music, grooves and feel, to grasp an individual style of their own. Katrina is the Founder of Almighty Force Hip Hop Crew & in their first of training took out a national title in their representative age group as well as overall Junior age champions at Follow Your Dreams National Championships.

Miss Brittany
Tots Program Coordinator & Dance Teacher

Miss Brittany has been trained in all styles of dance and is currently the TOT’S program Co-ordinator at Pulsate Dance Force. Her dance journey began at the age of 5 and has since become certified in Acrobatic Arts & Dance Cirque programs. Brittany has completed at a high level her ATOD Tap, Jazz & Ballet exams and prides herself on keeping up to date with industry knowledge and development within the dance community Australia wide in all styles of dance. She loves teaching because of the joy it brings to her students, and she loves being able to see the improvement and growth of each student’s abilities throughout the years.

Franca Aylward
Administration

Franca is our number one administrative manager!

Franca has been involved at Pulsate for over 13 years with her children undertaking their Elite level of training for many years at Pulsate. In 2018, Franca joined our administration team handling all inquiries allowing Miss Sam and our teachers to concentrate on what they do best – teaching!

Franca prides herself on 5-star customer service & a personalised experience, and always puts the needs of the children first when helping families with enrolments at the studio.

Miss Emily
Dance Teacher

Emily has been involved for dance for over 20 years and is trained in ballet, neoclassical, lyrical, contemporary and jazz.

Having trained for four years with the Australian Ballet School, Emily now shares her passion for lyrical and contemporary dance with the students of Pulsate Dance Force.

Emily appreciates being part of her students’ dance journey, and hopes she can inspire them to be the best version of themselves.

Rosemary Drewe
R.A.D. Ballet Teacher

Rosemary is a fully qualified Royal Academy of Dance Teacher and has been teaching for many years. She started to learn ballet in Wagga, until she went to the Frances Scully Borovansky ballet school in Sydney as a full time student. She studied under teachers who were at that time household names. Kathleen Daintry, Jessie Brownly, Dame Nellie Potts and when he had time the great Borovansky himself, all these were experts in their fields. Rosemary is a registered teacher through R.A.D. and has done her exams from primary to advanced. Passing on knowledge to the young is an honour and to do it properly is vital. Rosemary is thrilled to be teaching with such fine young teachers and students at Pulsate, she likes to see herself as a Nanna and to think of the children as gifts that need care and protection. Family is the most important part of any community.

Miss Zoe
Classical Ballet Teacher

Zoe Cavedon commenced vocational dance training in North East Victoria. After a highly successful finals performance at the Youth American Grand Prix in New York City, Zoe received numerous

scholarships choosing to complete

her training at the prestigious HARID Conservatory in Florida. Upon graduating Zoe became a member of the Sarasota Ballet Company, Zoe has performed in works by Ashton, Bintley, Balanchine and many other prolific choreographers. In 2018 Zoe returned as freelance ballet dancer which allowed her to work on several different projects performing in Europe, Africa and Australia on many different Gala Tours.

This year Zoe will be seen on local and international stages amongst other creative projects and guest teaching roles. Repertoire highlights include, Grande Pas Classique, Paquita, Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker, Cinderella, La Bayadere,

Romeo and Juliet and Don Quixote.

Zoe is also currently the ambassador of Australian-owned dancewear brand Energetiks. You will see Zoe at Pulsate on.

Monday teaching all Monday classical classes, we are so lucky to have a Professional classical expert at Pulsate.

Miss Tanya
R.A.D. Ballet Teacher

Tanya Singh is a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and our principal Ballet teacher at Pulsate Dance Force. After taking up dance at an early age, Tanya trained in London before returning to Australia to launch Pulsate Dance Force in 2001.

Many of Tanya’s students have excelled in their exams with honours and distinctions, with many also going on to have fulfilling dance careers. Having now passed on the Directorship to former student Sam Pulvirenti, Tanya remains involved with Pulsate Dance Force as a dedicated teacher.

DAVID WILLIAMS
Contemporary & Technique Coach

With over 15 years’ experience in the dance industry as a dancer, teacher and mentor, David Williams has toured and performed internationally; working with esteemed choreographers and directors such as Rafael Bonachela, Natalie Weir and Cameron McMillan, and performing with critically acclaimed companies including Sydney Dance Company, Black Grace Dance Company and Expression Dance Company.

After honing his skills as a principle artist and experiencing the very best of the professional dance world, David turned his expertise and passion to a new field, starting his own business Mino Dance. A dancewear store selling high quality dancerwear. This role has been incredibly fulfilling for David, allowing him to further support and connect with the Australian and international dance community. Running a business hasn’t stopped David from teaching and mentoring the next generation of young aspiring dancers. At Pulsate David will be implementing his wide knowledge of teaching practices to prepare the dancers for the professional industry.

Miss Taylah

Dance teacher

Taylah’s dance journey began as a Tiny Tot, evolving into a versatile performer skilled in hip hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, acrobatics, tap, and circus silks. At Pulsate, she excelled in Elevate Academy and Almighty Varsity Hip Hop, achieving success regionally. Taylah prioritises technique, evident in her completion of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Intermediate Foundation Classical Exam.

Beyond the dance studio, Taylah’s professional journey extended into the fitness industry, where she served as a Gym coach in Melbourne while concurrently pursuing her university studies. Recently relocating to Wangaratta to continue her education in Paramedicine, Taylah’s diverse background includes a CERT 3 IN AERIAL MOVEMENT, underscoring her comprehensive understanding of movement, dance, and the health industry.

This wealth of experience positions Taylah as an invaluable asset to Pulsate, where she will impart a wide range of training and knowledge to the students. Her gentle and empathetic approach ensures that the students of Pulsate will not only benefit from her expertise but also enjoy a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Taylah is scheduled to lead classes at Pulsate on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, offering students the opportunity to engage with her expertise and passion for dance and movement.

Miss Tasha

Dance teacher

Tasha brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our dance studio, having cultivated her passion for dance since a young child. With comprehensive training across various dance styles, including Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, and Acrobatics, Tasha’s dedication to her craft is evident. She honed her skills through Pulsate and distinguished herself as a core member of the Elevate Academy program, earning the title of Regional Champion soloist at numerous dance competitions.

Tasha’s commitment to precision and excellence, particularly in Acrobatic and contemporary training, propelled her to further her education at the esteemed TRANSIT DANCE COMPANY in Melbourne. Over the course of two years of full-time dance studies under the guidance of leading industry professionals, Tasha emerged with a DIPLOMA OF PROFESSIONAL DANCE & ELITE PERFORMANCE. Her dedication extends beyond dance, as she also holds a CERT 3 in CHILDCARE, showcasing her well-rounded qualifications.

We consider ourselves fortunate to have Tasha back at Pulsate, where her presence is sure to resonate with our Country Buddy students who cherished her as a familiar face. Tasha will be sharing her expertise with our students on Tuesdays and Saturdays, imparting her knowledge and passion for dance in a nurturing and professional manner.

Colette Quin
Vocal & Acting Coach
Colette has been involved in all aspects of dance and acting for as long as she can remember. She became more involved in acting when she moved to Wangaratta in the early 1990s and has performed with many companies across the Victoria. She has appeared in TV commercials and in a film that is yet to be released. She was the recipient of a Churchill Fellowship studying – Repertory Youth Theatre in the UK in 2000. In 2009 Colette was lucky enough to audition for and be accepted to study a 3 year Advanced Diploma – Theatre Arts course at GRADA and has completed several short courses with the Victorian College of the Arts and NIDA. Colette is delighted to have been asked to share her knowledge and passion with the students at Pulsate and hopes that she can provide them with a toolkit of performance skills that assist them to pursue their dreams into the future.

Miss Beth

Pulsate graduate & Guest teacher

Bethany Elcock is a versatile dancer and teacher with an energetic and fun vibe. She has completed her Diploma of Dance & Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management at Jason Coleman’s The Ministry of Dance and received DUX for her graduation year. Beth is a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor and visits the Pulsate studio as often as she can to pass on her new techniques and teachings to all of our students.
